C&F Bank Expands its

C&F Bank, a wholly owned subsidiary of C&F Financial Corporation, James City County and its Economic Development Authority have announced C&F’s purchase of a 60,000-square foot facility located at the Stonehouse Commerce Park in James City County, Virginia for its new Operations Center. Located just 12 miles from West Point, C&F Bank plans to relocate its Operations departments and approximately 50 employees to the new facility in 2005. After an in-depth study, C&F decided on a facility that would remain close to the source of its’ heritage. Located close to I-64, the corporation believes that the new site will also prove to be helpful in attracting and retaining a highly talented work force. This expansion will enable C&F to support expected growth and sustain the high standard of performance customers and shareholders have come to expect. Renovations to the Stonehouse building are expected to begin in November and approximately 25,000 square feet will be renovated during the first phase of the project.
