Liberty Warehousing, Inc., to Expand to
James River Commerece Center

Liberty Warehousing, Inc., an ASI food-grade industrial and commercial warehousing and distribution center, will expand its growing operations into the James River Commerce Center, according to a joint announcement by the corporation, Williamsburg Developments, Inc., and the Economic Development Authority of James City County. The 220-acre James River Commerce Center is a public/private venture of Williamsburg Developments, Inc., a subsidiary of The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, and the Economic Development Authority of James City County. The park, situated within a Virginia Enterprise Zone, is located on Route 60 east in James City County. Liberty's announcement is the third project announced at James River Commerce Center since the park opened early last year. New facilities for the Ball Corporation and Service Metal Fabricators are nearing completion there.

According to President and CEO L. Ronald Miller, Liberty plans to construct an 80,000-square foot facility on its newly purchased 7.6-acre site. This facility augments a 320,000-square foot facility located within the Busch Industrial Park in York County. The new facility will represent a $3.76 million investment by Liberty.

Liberty currently employs 27 people with projections of growth for 1999. Groundbreaking for the new facility is scheduled to coincide with current contractual commitments of Liberty customers.

"I am glad that Liberty Warehousing is expanding its operations to James City County and that they recognize the value of a James River Commerce Center location to satisfy customer's immediate and long-term warehousing needs," remarked David L. Sisk, James City County Roberts District Supervisor. "They will be a real asset to our diversifying economic base and serve as further testimony to the value of the public-private partnership we have forged with WDI to develop this light industrial park."

Andrew J. Hungerman, III, WDI President, added "We are quite pleased that Liberty has chosen James River Commerce Center as the site of its expanded operations and look forward to their continued success in this strategic location. Liberty has been, and will be, a fine Good Neighbor."
