2005 Hampton Roads Export Symposium Scheduled for June 21

(Williamsburg, VA) – The Small Business Development Center of Hampton Roads, The Technology and Business Center at the College of William and Mary, and Virginia's Center for Innovative Technology, present the Hampton Roads Export Symposium: The New Dynamics of Exporting June 21 at 8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at the Peninsula Workforce Development Center, 600 Butler Farm Road in Hampton.  The cost of the symposium is $45 per person and includes breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack.  Contact Sally Riley at 253-4322 (Rileys@tncc.vccs.edu) to register.

 

Speakers, Subject Matter Experts from government and industry, will cover topics including “Services to Help Exporters,” featuring Butch Sarma from the Virginia Economic Development Partnership and Margie Hall from the U.S. Department of Commerce, “Overcoming Technical Barriers” and “Falling Dollars—Mega Market Opportunities,” and “Some Mechanics & Essentials for Success.”  

Additional sponsors for the symposium include the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce, the Virginia Peninsula Chamber of Commerce, the City of Hampton Department of Economic Development and Thomas Nelson Community College, in cooperation with the Virginia Economic Development Partnership.
