JAMES CITY COUNTY, Virginia -- Sterling M. Nichols, President of the Williamsburg-based real estate development company DMI Corporation, has been elected to serve as the Chairman of the James City County Economic Development Authority for the year 2002. Vincent A. Campana, Jr., Director of Drucker & Falk's Commercial Sales and Leasing Division, was elected to serve as the EDA's Vice Chairman.
Nichols is well qualified to chair the EDA. He has been involved in the affairs of James City County serving on the Economic Development Authority for seven years, and on various other County committees including the Citizen Input Committee for the Comprehensive Plan, for which he served as Chairman, and the Community Character Committee.
A Native Virginian and a graduate of Virginia Tech, Nichols is an active member of the community. In recent years, he has served as Board member and Executive Committee member of the Williamsburg Area Chamber of Commerce, Hospice Board member, Executive Committee member of the Williamsburg Builders Association, Housing Partnership board member, Trustee of Williamsburg Community Trust, and as a member of the Development Committee for Child Development Resources.
