James City County and its Economic Development Authority are pleased to announce that G & H Enterprises, Inc., has selected Busch Corporate Center for its new manufacturing facility. This full-service, precision machine shop, leased a 12,000-square foot unit of space at 344 McLaws Circle where it employs 12 people including skilled machinists. G & H accepts contract machining work and also designs and manufactures automated equipment.
"We're very excited about being here in the Williamsburg area", said company President Gary A. Gauthier. "We believe there are tremendous opportunities here for services that people can't find locally. While traditionally G & H Enterprises is a international manufacturer and distributor of packaging machinery, we have the resources to custom design and fabricate a wide variety of automation equipment. Our James City County location should make us more cost-effective than our competitors in surrounding cities."
"G & H Enterprises will be a valuable addition to our business and industrial community", noted Keith A. Taylor, who serves as James City County's Economic Development Director and its EDA Secretary. "Ready access to good machine shops is an important factor to many of the capital-intensive manufacturing prospects with whom we work, and now we can say that we have another one right in our own backyard."
The company opened for business at Busch Corporate Center in January. Drucker & Falk Commercial Sales & Leasing managed the lease transaction.
