I-64James City County’s interstate and highway access gives companies an immediate link to the national interstate network. This access equates to lower operating costs with quick shipments of "just-in-time" inventories.


James City County’s main roads include:


I-64: The major east-west interstate highway, linking Hampton Roads and its marine terminals to the western terminus of Missouri, bisects James City County providing multiple interchange access points.


U.S. Route 60: It provides easy access to the interior of James City County, the Hampton Roads region, and the Virginia Ports.

 

Interstates 85, 95 and 295: All in close proximity to James City County, they provide access to more than 40 percent of the nation’s manufacturing centers. I-95, the major north-south interstate highway linking Maine to Florida; I-85 provides access to Atlanta through the Raleigh-Durham Research Triangle; I-295 is a bypass route around the Richmond MSA.
