To encourage small business start-ups, James City County established a Business and Technology Incubator (JCCBTI), which provides office space and the College of William and Mary’s Technology and Business Center provides the overall management of the incubator.

The resources, support systems, mentoring, and safe-haven of the James City County-Technology and Business Center’s Business and Technology Incubator can help the entrepreneur put all the pieces together – and therefore greatly improving the opportunity to succeed. And, it is a well documented fact that businesses that participate in incubation programs have a far greater chance of success over those who are not engaged with incubation.
